5 Steps to Make a Google Form Become A Leave Approval System

Transforming a google form to a leave approval form.

It’s simple, and here is the step-by-step guide.

1. Create a New Google Form

The first thing, of course, is to create a new google form as the leave application form.

Please remember to select “Collect emails” in the Setting, so the applicant can receive email notice on the application status.

2. Install the Add-On

Click “More” to select “Add-ons“, search “Form Approvals“, then install the add-on.

Please choose domain install, and grant your permission to the installation.

3. Activate the Add-On

To activate the add-on, click “Add-on“, select “Form Approvals“, then click “Open the add-on“.

4. Set the Leave Approver

After activating the add-on, you will see the tool box on the right hand side.

Click “Add static recipient“, then type in the email address of the leave approver, then click “Save

5. Leave Approval Form is Ready Now

Voila!  The leave approval form is ready now!  Once a staff submit a leave application, the approver will receive a review request.

The approver can approve or decline the application by clicking the related button, and the applicant will receive a notification email once the leave is approved.
